Rogatien Rosaire "Rogie" Vachon - Born September 8, 1945 in Palmarolle, Quebec is a Canadian retired ice Hockey goaltender, general manager, coach and executive.

- Stanley Cup Champion 1968, 1969, 1971 with Montreal Canadiens.
- Vezina Trophy Winner in 1968 (shared with Gump Worsley).

- Prince of Wales Trophy Champion 1968, 1969 with Montreal Canadiens.

- 1976 Canada Cup Champion, and was named to All-Star Team and was voted Team Canada MVP.

- Played in 1973, 1975, 1978 NHL All-Star Games.

Vachon made his NHL debut with the Montreal Canadiens on February 18, 1967 vs the Detroit Red Wings at The Forum in Montreal. Gordie Howe was the first to score a NHL goal on him, but the Canadiens won the game 3-2.

Vachon had his 1st NHL shutout on March 5, 1967 vs the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden in a 2-0 Montrreal win.

Vachon played only 19 games during his first season, and 9 games in the playoffs, helping the Canadiens to the Stanley Cup Finals. They lost to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Vachon, while playing for Detroit, recorded the Red Wings 1st loss at Joe Louis Arena on December 27 1979 vs the St. Louis Blues, then recorded the 1st victory at The Joe on December 30 vs the New York Islanders, a 4-2 win.

His number 30 was the first number retired by the Los Angeles Kings, in a ceremony on February 14, 1985.

Rogie Vachon was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2016.

Vachon later was the Los Angeles Kings General Manager from 1984 to 1992, and was interim coach in 3 different seasons, 10 games in total.

NOTE
Vachon, one of the premier one-on-one goaltenders of his era, never allowed a goal on a penalty shot in his entire career.
